Dear Friends and Family of Blue Star Mothers of Dayton Ohio,

I wanted to write to share the immense gratitude from myself and the members of my Team for all of the support you have provided us for over the past six months. We are soon drawing our deployment to a close, and will be replaced by another cohort of talented and eager folks. I have attached one of the “hero referral” forms I received from my mother who works with your team so that our replacements can enjoy the same wonderful support as they tackle their duties out here.

Your care packages brought so much joy to everyone, and I wanted to be sure you knew it! We shared the foodstuffs and the notes of encouragement with everyone at the office here, and they loved it too! Truly, you are all a blessing.

I enclosed a photo of the Team we took out here a few weeks back so you could get an illustration of the folks whom you all cared for.

My Team’s looking forward to heading home and seeing friends and family. If we ever cross paths I’ll be sure to thank you in person.

Hello Sandy, I hope that you all are doing very well and are having a really good Christmas time. I hope all of you are safe and sound too. We all wanted to thank you all sooo very much for sending the wonderful care package for the guys and gals. Everything is exactly what they enjoy so it was just perfect!! The goodies were fabulous and I got so tickled at the pairs of socks used to protect the candy canes!! That was very clever and reminded me of my dear Mother who was always doing clever things like that. All the treats were sooo much enjoyed by the troops. We can’t thank you all enough for being so generous to us over here. You all take good care of yourselves and we send you lots and lots of Good Christmas wishes!!! Love, Judy

Hi Tammy,

Wanted to extend our gratitude for the generous donation the Blue Star Mothers of Dayton gave to Sophie’s Foundation. At the moment we have 3 dogs in training and two awaiting until we make more money. Your donation helps enormously with the training cost of our wonderful rescues.

Please share with all of the mothers that because my Sophie loved the idea of helping rescues and left 3 behind, we ONLY use abused and neglected rescues and preferably the ones we can pull before being euthanized
